I hope so. I started playing Destiny at the best time and stopped playing at the best time (as the first ex pack came out and sometime just after January) and honestly had a blast. Yes, its release was terrible but it eventually got its shit together and I'd probably still be playing it if it was originally on PC.
isnt destiny supposed to have 10 years of content?
isnt destiny supposed to have 10 years of content?
Destiny 1 isn't supposed to have 10 years of content, there's just supposed to be 10 years of Destiny, that probably means having both expansions and just overall new installments.
I'd get Destiny 2 if it was on PC. Hopefully Activision would do the sensible thing and put in on Steam instead of try to sell it through their own proprietary marketplace.
I was completely let down with Destiny and haven't touched it even after it's allegedly been "fixed", but I loved the idea of it so much that I remain cautiously optimistic about a sequel.
If it's coming to PC, all the better.

I wouldn't even say Allegedly fixed, game is straight up good nowadays. The combat was already pretty good in the first place, it was just everything around it sucked. Now it's mostly conventional but it services really good gameplay in a non-intrusive way. I'd say give Taken King a go if you haven't.
Give me character importing and cross-platform play and my PS4 will only exist solely for Ace Combat 7 and nothing else.

GTA V had console-to-PC character importing didn't it? It could definitely be done. I don't know about cross-platform play, though, unless it was PvE only. Crucible balance is already weird as it is.

AFAIK Activision hasn't done that with any of their recent PC games.
What about Destiny 1 tho
I don't want to start with the second game in the series

Destiny has a non-existent story, so you're fine with starting on the second.

The rumors are that Destiny 2 will be a huge overhaul anyway so I wouldn't worry about it
I still want to play it though, even more so if it had crossplay with ps4 so I could play it with a friend

I would think if they are bringing the sequel to PC, maybe for a bit extra you could get all of Destiny 1's content, including expansions? I would buy that.

No way that is happening at this point with how much of a clusterfuck of a time they seem to have with developing Destiny 1.
Have they said if you can transfer your character to Destiny 2? I feel like if you have to start over, that's gonna put a lot of hardcore destiny players off.
Better come to Linux
But why would it? Bungie is a Microsoft subsidiary.

Activision wants money, they're not going to kill their multiplayer-centric game by throwing it on a proprietary platform that people will almost certainly have a stigma toward.

Destiny came to PS3 and PS4. Bungie can do whatever the fuck they want, Microsoft only has a minority share.

If there's one thing you can say about Activision it's that all their stupid bullshit has been purely about profit and not the "why the fuck would they even do that?" of many other pubs.
