Called it twice. Once for a car wreck I saw and another for some kid breaking into my house.
Dialed it at a phonebooth in an IHOP once when I was like 7. I didn't think it would work because I put no money in it.
I dialed it once while in Wal-Mart, On the way out we saw cops drive past us toward Wal-Mart. OOPS
My dad works at a dispatch center for the state patrol so anytime I wan't to talk to him I just put in the ol' 9-1-1.

I was pretty young at the time so I pretty much went "Oh fuck" to myself when it was picked up, and I just hung up.

That time they spent trying to help you even though you didn't need it could have been used to save someone elses life.
Ontopic: I never dialed it personally but my dad had to call it for my mother when she fell. She's fine now.

It's funny, because she snuck out of the house to her friend's, but by calling 911 and hanging up, she got them to send a Police Officer over, which is how we found out she was gone. So she got in trouble when Dad found out where she went.
When i was young, I was mucking around with the phone and I took the phone off the hook and dialed 0.
The operator was like "Hello? How may I help you?"
And my mom dropped dishes in the other room and screamed.

I called 999 (British Emergency Service Number) the other week when some guy fainted at the train station. He was heavily overweight and really young so naturally it was gonna kill him. Phoned anyway. He survived.

I did it once when I was like 13.
A beat up car parked in front of our house and no one got out (the houses are spread out so it was weird). After like 20 minutes of watching, I panicked and didn't know who else to call.
I felt like an idiot because 1. It was a drunk college kid just trying to sleep it off (felt bad), and 2. I was dumb enough to not look up the police department's non-emergency number, or just tell my parents.
