i have a Microsoft mobile mouse 4000, and ive had it for roughly the past 8-9 months and i haven't had any problems with it other than normal wearing and tare. and all of a sudden the other night it just stopped working. i took out the transceiver and it was burning hot to the touch. Now when ever i put it into either of the usb drives on my laptop it isnt recognized and heats up within a few seconds. anyone know what the problem could be?

well i figured that, but i wanted to just look into for example has this happend to anyone else or any kinda specific problem this could be?
think its covered by microsoft? think i could get a replacement easily ?
Look at the pins and see if they bent somehow and are shorting, if it's not them, then something inside is shorting. Use your warrenty. If that fails, you could always illegally buy a new one and then return the broken one in it :v:
