the blog never calls the game Generals 2, only the "new Command & Conquer," another sure sign that the game is distancing itself from that name.
Fuck you EA
Fuck you EA
fun to play, engaging, and high quality RTS experiences.
i doubt this will be any of that. They didn't learn from C&C4 that they shouldn't completely change everything.
Fuck you ea learn from blizzard.
I miss Westwood.
Getting extended beta......will still end up like horse shit because of EA.
Not optimistic. Forgetting the whole idea that they probably don't know how to make a CnC game anymore, their F2P offerings are awful. Battlefield P4F and NFS: World are both blatantly pay to win.

Even Generals was mediocre (in my opinion, many would disagree though) and it certainly wasn't a CnC game. It didn't play much like a CnC game and it had nothing to do with any of the established ones before it. Then there was CnC 3, where that series inexplicably a) started being numbered and b) stopped having a thematic subtitle. You know you're off to a good start when even the title is somehow wrong. That whole game just felt flaccid and boring, the aesthetics were bland and uninteresting and the atmosphere was just dull, compared to the bleak and apocalyptic atmosphere that TibSun had. It seemed like all of the cool and iconic stuff got removed or changed beyond recognition. GDI walker tech? Gone. Tiberium being mutagenic? Mostly gone, taking a chunk of the cool atmoshpere and story devices that had been in place since TibDawn with it. Cyborgs? You better believe they're gone. And now we get to the crux of shit (well, until we get to CnC 4 that is) - Red Alert 3. Now, RA2 and particularly Yuri's Revenge were kinda goofy. It wasn't afraid to have some fun. RA3? RA3 looked at that and came to the conclusion that the logical evolution to "Slightly goofy" was "completely dumb stuff that's akin to a particularly crappy kids toy line". The only redeeming feature here is that Frank K returned to provide (some) music for the game. Finally there was CnC4. All I have to say here is that it wasn't a Command and Conquer game. At all. [editline]5th November 2012[/editline] Sorry I guess I kind of went off on a rant there.
