I wouldn't really call that f2p. I assume that includes the dlc maps too? Funny how I can pay full price for the game yet still not have all the maps.

I'm glad console publishers are finally dipping their toes into F2P, even if this attempt is the oldest F2P technique in the book (it's basically a paid-for game with a demo). Still, if it's successful we might get more F2P games on consoles that do it right, like Tribes Ascend or TF2.
This is actually really cool and shows Sony is willing to make the first moves to bring the freemium content delivery plan to consoles. I'll give it a try for sure.
MAG would be sweet if it turned F2P.

I know what the trial/game is but I missunderstood and wasn't sure if the full game had MP aswell so I thought it was like MGO or like they did with resi evil, releasing an online part after the games release.
I wish the Killzone series was on PC, I'd totally buy all three.
