What is Intel then?
Problem is that AMD really doesn't compete with Nvidia in the high end GPU markets, where the most profit is.
Plus looking at benchmarks for similar priced cards, Nvidia has better performance in the majority of cases. (Not including low end)
AMD isn't gonna die. They have a brilliant R&D lab. Look across the board plenty of companies cut jobs to save money short term. One problem is they've cut their R&D budget while profits have declined slightly. While they're competitors have increased their R&D budgets.
