It's not horrible. It does have always-on DRM and some other... inconsistencies, but I wouldn't recommend it for more than $5.
I see that, unrelatedly, Bioshock Infinite is up on their store. Says that you get 17$ of store credit once the game releases, and 10$ that return to your bank account a few days from purchase.
Anyone know if buying it from their store would give me a key that works with steam?
Damn you lack of punctuation, I read that as 25 dollars off.

It does, aslong as it's a game that's also on Steam it should work fine I think.
A buddy and I got ArmA 2 for free whilst they were giving it out on their site in 2010 I think it was, and he activated his copy on Steam.

They removed the online DRM in the last patch.

Offline mode: Steam version of Miner Wars 2081 doesn't need internet connection to start and play the campaign. User doesn't need the internet at all (there's no login).

I can't find the STEAM news post, so have this:

That's awesome. Maybe I'll have to pick it up again.

Wasn't it meant to be a super cool MMO about shooting up destructible environments for ore? I've been confused about it ever since it came out.

Not this version, they're working on an MMO separately.

It's not a MMO and the destrucible environments aren't the focus of the game.
It's more like Descent meets Red Faction.
