I've grown so accustomed to awkwardly bending my pinky for ctrl that anything else feels weird.
My brother uses scroll click to toggle crouch in CS.
He's not very good at cs but insists its the best way.
I want to bang my head against the wall every time he talks about it.

Grew up using C because reaching Ctrl was too much of a stretch for my tiny hands.
But if I'm going to change up my habits in favor of a better control scheme, why wouldn't I start using ESDF instead? Other than that I'd have to reconfigure controls for every game.
I can't tell whether the writer is being serious or satirical; because I wouldn't put it away from some gamers to be serious about this.
I use whatever the crouch key is set to by default. I personally prefer ctrl, but I don't mind the C key, either.

Honestly, articles like this are one of the reasons why I sometimes hate the gaming community. Why is it someone else's business what key I use to crouch. Don't they have something else to do, something more meaningful to write?
I sometimes feel like some gamers just want something to rage at or someone to judge; like the PC vs consoles war; I find that huge war quite silly, as well.
This childish and ridiculous behavior needs to stop if we want people to take us more seriously.

It has a nasty habit of fucking things up for some reason, probably due to the the fact that it toggles caps.

I was once added to a Facebook group for gamers that live in Jordan; there, most of the people behaved like this, and they kept judging each other about what genre of games they play, what platform they play on (that awful PC vs console war) and how many games they've played in their lives.
I left the group after one week because I couldn't stand their ridiculous behavior anymore.

If I have to hold to crouch then it's CTRL, if I have to toggle it its C. If I have a choice I use CTRL. I keep it consistent so I don't get confused.

I use both C and CTRL as crouch keys. Fight me.
