I love how yet again, another studio flaunts 'HD' in their re-release when nothing was really improved from what i've seen. I mean, the models got better and some of the effects and lighting. But most of the textures are blurry as shit.
I'd only care about an MDK 1 remake if it was an actual remake.

Almost all of these 'HD' versions mean they can be played on modern operating systems at high resolutions, not 'hey guys we made new models and textures for an old as fuck game'.

and that's an awesome thing to do, I would kill for an HD edition of oddworld's abe's oddysee just so I don't have to play in whatever default resolution the game comes with on steam
