I can't seem to get the cheat window up in FO3.

I just feel like cheating, it's my third time playing the game and cheats would be nice. Now I've tried the button under Escape, but it doesn't seem to work. Maybe because my keyboard is Swedish? Is there any way on binding it to some other button or something? Thanks. PS, it's the Steam version.

It's a console.

And when you press the console key, does your game stop, then start again when you press it again?

Nope, nothing happens. It just ignores it completely, I can move without pressing the button again.

Go to My Documents -> My Games -> Fallout3 and open the file called FALLOUT in Notepad. Find the line that says "bAllowConsole" and change the 0 to 1.
If it already is one, you're screwed.

I bought it off steam and it works

It should be preset at 1

it could be due to a HID on your computer.
Just shut it off and your computer should run fine
Also there's no cheat window.

It could also be an issue with Vista IR drivers. A quick Google search will find you many other threads with people who've had the same issue.

I looked inside the Settings> Action key mapping, no luck, there's no such thing as "Enable Dev Console" or something similar to that.

Are you playing in widescreen? If you are that could be the problem. When I play in widescreen the console appears off screen but still works.

I play at that res with a 19" monitor, my console goes off the screen.
