lol go away fucking frenchmen surrender from politics pls lol (I can make this joke now that flagdog is back)
A dedicated smartphone and tablet tax is one idea that sincerely I hope won't be picked up by the British government I wonder why the French want to be "shielded" from US movies - sounds a bit odd. The French's attitude to their national culture seems to be that it should stand still and never change
French hate Americanism and loath anything un-French, they go to great lengths to make new words in their language where as the English language adopts. They see it as a form of submitting.
France acts kinda like Japan in a way, we think our culture is the best and we never consider other cultures or even try to adapt to them, the only reason the French language has some english-based words is because of adolescents using them and becoming too common, but even then, I see a good 50% of adults trying to dodge english words as much as possible.

We use english words very often, you may have mixed up Quebec and France. EDIT: Well sure, 40/50+ years old are reluctant to speak English, I'll admit that.

And damn do I hope this idea of having a tax fails, hard.
