Is this PC sound setup any good? If not, how do I improve it? Thanks.
Looks good.
Dont know that speaker brand tough.
And dont you want a card with midi input?

And that card has a build in headphone amp no need for a secondary which can only add to the distortion.
Edit:
Not getting a sound card any more, just the headphone amp.
Is there something like a headphone amp for speakers which functions as an external sound card?
My brother has an external sound card that doubles as a guitar effects thingy, I would have to go get the model No and brand to find out more.

Don't play guitar, so I don't need such a thing. Just something that's like an external sound card for PC speakers? Does something like that exist?

I assume not based on the lack of replies... welp, time to ask /g/

There we go, thats what he has. I'm not sure if thats exactly what you are looking for.
I use an external soundcard from line 6 to record guitar and vocals with. It also has very good sound and supports high speed asio4all sound drivers (you really need these to keep down the latency and keep the sound from being destorted)
When you are recording something (wether it is an instrument or on your computer) your sound card needs to be able to handle the uncompressed sounds all at once.
