I have to ask why these features can't just be implemented with the.. 19th? Expansion for Sims 3. Rather than another $60 title that's destined to have another 18 expansion packs and even more Stuffpacks
seriously your right though. why don't they just take the best features of their expansion packs and combine that with an upgraded graphics system and AI system and just throw it into one game. TBH the expansion pack system for the sims has always been way out of control.

Besides, 3 came out like 4 years ago.

Features are Features, just because 3 is a couple years old doesn't mean it can't have new features.

On top of that, they changed the visual style to be more cartoony and stylized from 3. The faces don't look like total shit. Plus replacing the editor of the current system with a brand new one is a lot harder than it sounds.

I always liked the look of the Sims 2 the most.
This looks a lot more like The Sims 2, I'm excited. The Sims 2 is my favorite simulation game of all time. although to me it seems like everyone has a huge butt
I think this is the perfect answer to the worlds aspie problem.
I wonder if I can make my Sim want to lock themselves in a doorless bathroom...
I'd like to see them add the ability to add vague rifts and discrimination that can be added or develop between family members to create topical conflict rather than overall hatred. This can include 'explosive points' where the mood of one family member deteriorates exponentially due to a particular topic of conversation, either towards anger or depression. They could react angrily to hearing certain kinds of music played, and have silent feuds that last weeks, which cause a major disruption in the function of the family, resulting in an eventual loss of happiness for everyone involved. It really is too bad The Sims had to become a major casual franchise, or somebody might try and redo it with a more serious and emotional tone. It'd be fascinating to see a game of this unique genre tackle adult issues like discrimination or drug addiction.

I feel it should be left to another series to do that kind of thing.
i think the problem is that, especially back when the sims first came out, is that its really hard to make that convincing. sims are already known to act really irrational sometimes
Irrational in the best way. My sim randomly walks up to smelly people and insults them despite having the Good trait.
The Sims has always been a bit absurd, it was never meant to be taken seriously. Now what I'm excited about is the expansion of the storyline. I wanna know more about Mortimer and Bella Goth and Ms. Fuckin' Crumplebottom.
i think the problem is that, especially back when the sims first came out, is that its really hard to make that convincing. sims are already known to act really irrational sometimes
It would be nice to see eventually, though I acknowledge it most likely won't happen in The Sims.
Let me show you MY rocket.
Never been impressed with the AI in The Sims. Am I the only one?
I once invited a sim over to my place and then died because they didn't know how to use an elevator.
Never been impressed with the AI in The Sims. Am I the only one?
Two people stood outside my house giving each other flowers for about 12 sim hours.
