(I know I posted twice, there's a slash in the other title so it 404s)
I was in an accident on monday that was pretty much 100% the other drivers fault, both the police and the insurance companies agree with that (I have AAA, they have American family). My car has to be in the shop for a week minimum, and they're supposed to give me a rental car for the time that it's gone. The problem is that I'm 17, and you need to be 25 to sign for or drive the rental car, which means that their "compensation" of giving me a rental car means jack shit because the only person who can legally drive it is my mom, but the insurance is under my grandpas name so we aren't even gonna get it
I pretty much want to know if I can say that I want them to give me compensation because this means that the only vehicle I can be driving is my moms van which isn't available generally due to it being a work vehicle.
so can I get anything out of this aside from them fixing my car, or am I pretty much gonna be fucked in the ass just because I'm a minor?
I love how this thread got only 6 views :downs:

I'm not talking about subforms. I'm talking about whole FP forum.
Go compare! Go compare!
To be sure when you insure go compare!
When your choices are many,
you could save a pretty penny,
When you go online to go compare!
Go compare, when in doubt check them out
Go compare!

so in other words, you don't know shit about the laws in this scenario so you assume that nobody else possibly can
Yeah, I know shit about laws in this scenario. I was just saying in my stupid way that it isn't too likely to get answer for this question over here. Though I can be wrong.

Either way I talked to the insurance, they aren't gonna give me jack shit because it's the rental places policy that prevents me from driving and not theirs, and I don't think it's worth getting into a legal battle with an insurance company over about a week of inconvenience
