Whats bad about this game? the beta was ok.. but it didn't grab me to play the final release.

Deserts are real things. They exist. Would you rather them make more jungles? How about more snowy mountains? Every kind of possible location has been created and used to death in video games. Anything different, such as Columbia in BioShock Infinite, is just a combination of two others. So, like, um, chill?

There's nothing really wrong with the game, but it's just a fairly generic fps that's riding on the fact that it has mechs in it. It's a pretty solid game, it's just nothing special.
I'm not up to knowledge on the game's history, why are there floating rocks?
