I've seen it done before, but only if that game has been on Kickstarter or what have you, and they don't want to gyp the people who paid extra for early access. Is that the case here?
Yeah, Planetary Annihilation is $90 right now on Steam because it's a kickstarter.

Natural Selection 2 is definitely worth it, there needs to be more players anyway.

I've watched a lot of videos, I absolutely cannot believe that they want to charge $30, let alone $20 on sale.
You guys should really get Natural Selection 2 if you enjoy teamwork, James Cameron's Aliens, or Sci-fi in general, or RTSes, and games with a lot of depth to them.
The community is great and are quick to teach people how to play.

It wasn't on kickstarter but Introversion sold early access through their site with Kickstarteresque pricing tiers

I hate this stigma that all Indie games should be $10 or $5, while only big publishers are allowed to charge anything over $20 for their games, most often $60.
Can you honestly tell me a game like Bastion isn't worth $15?
