I'm tempted actually. But I'll see how it's received before I buy I think.

The Walking Quicktime
I'm tempted actually. But I'll see how it's received before I buy I think.
Joystiq did a pretty good review of it. Good story and writing and moral choices, and the characters remember your choices and stuff, but you don't substantially affect the story, and the characters are a little one-dimensional. They did say it was better than Jurassic Park though.
Pretty good actually. Don't think it's worth £20 seeing how it barely lasts a couple of hours but the characters and dialogue are fairly well-written and the choices seem like they'll actually have an impact in future episodes besides some dialogue changes (as per the Mass Effect series).
me dumb, £20 purchase on Steam apparently means you get access to all five episodes, brilliant bargain, take back what I said. [editline]25th April 2012[/editline] goddamnit, didn't mean for that to happen.
The "gameplay" looked okay, not especially interactive though. I might check it out when it's cheaper, currently it's just way too short to warrant the price even when you're buying all the episodes.
I'd rather buy all the episodes when all the episodes are actually released.
Why not just release the full game? Fuck
Bought it on the PS3 by accident, while trying to set up my credit card :v: I'll be playing it tonight.
I hate quick time events on PC games.
In my opinion they should make Quick Time Events much harder and much more indepth not just "Press W to win". Like the final part in God of War 2 where [sp] you punch the shit out of Zeus[/sp]. Now that was one hell of a quick time event!

Quicktime events are annoying already, making them hard does not help the case. Not to mention this is mainly a story based games
Alright, I just thought it would make them more interesting because you basically cant lose at them. There is no challenge.
This game was fun as shit. Full review here with some minor spoilers.

I may buy this because I love The Walking Dead. Is the game worth 25€ if you are a huge Zombie fan?
Like the final part in God of War 2 where [sp] you punch the shit out of Zeus[/sp]. Now that was one hell of a quick time event!
Isn't that literally 'press a single button to win'? [editline]25th April 2012[/editline]
I may buy this because I love The Walking Dead. Is the game worth 25€ if you are a huge Zombie fan?
It is if you're a huge zombie fiction fan because from what I've played and heard of it the story is quite good and there's some light exploration/survival due to it being a point n' click. But the main thing is that the writing and voice acting is pretty great. It's at least worth $5 to check out the first episode.
Alright thanks. I'm pretty sure that it was the second God of War where [sp]you kill Athena[/sp]. There was like a 1 minute long QTE sequence and it was hard as shit because even the "Mash X to win" sequence was insanely hard and you only had like 0.5 seconds to press the correct button or else youd fail and have to redo it again. Worst of all the buttons always changed when you died. I enjoyed that but I enjoy Quick Time Events in general so I guess I'm a bad example.
I asked on the Telltale forums, apparantly it's the best Telltale game since Sam & Max Season 3. And believe me, those guys are even more difficult to please than you guys. I think I may buy this.

I liked it, just a few quicktime events, like 4 or so. Tricky puzzles etc.
