Geezus fuck. I have no problem with these "veteran program" things but this is fucking stupid.
Founders is the worst part of this F2P trend yet.
Crowdfunding is the death of independent developers and PC gaming in general.
I'm really interested in how they're approaching fixing the balance with this "echo" thing
But like fuck I'm actually going to pay any amount of money to play in an alpha
I actually love the idea behind that "Echo" thing, not so much the look of the game in general, though, the gunplay looks very floaty imo.
I just find this looking incredibly generic. There are so many more shooters like this out there.
They should just make Brink F2P, then people might actually play and invest money into it. Even shitty new players are better than the bots that game has and they already have the mass amounts of cosmetics and attachments in place for the F2P systems to work without it being P2W.
Did that once with WarZ, never doing that shit ever again.

Brink in general should have released as a $30 downloadable title. It didn't really have a singleplayer component and was rather light on content, but it did try a lot of neat ideas and I liked the seamless cooperative/competitive elements.
Nice stats analysis (Valve's been using similar tools for ages, I think), but the game itself doesn't look interesting at all. Brink was a straight up failure, and this game is giving off the same vibe.
