It would be the perfect controler if they'd overthink the shoulder buttons (RB, LB) with their newest alteration.
They are really really uncomfy to use, badly positioned and hard to hold down for a longer time.
I use a Xbone controler on the pc and I am really happy with it, especially with the digital directional buttons.
The directional buttons on the 360 controler were a mess.
Xbox One controller is still best controller out there.
Sorry but dualshock just feels so unnatural.

The fact that the D-pad is completely different from the one in the Xbone controller wins my heart right away. Everything else is just a matter of getting used to, which I am since I've had Playstations(therefor, PS controllers) for all of my gaming life. Plus you have pressure sensitive face buttons, which I love.
The Xbone has a GREAT ergonomical design though. I take it that its pretty much like the X360 controller right? Give or take a few things in shape? Because that's a REALLY good shape!
I own DS4 controllers(from my PS4) and I have an Xbone controller(my girlfriend rolled over the USB of my old 360 controller in my PC chair) for my PC. Both are pretty great.
The Xbone controllers analog sticks are good, but a little tall. The shoulder buttons though, suck. Flat out. They suck. They're the worst shoulder buttons on any controller.
The DS4 has excellent sticks(though not well placed for shooters for me, IDK why) and every button is excellent feeling, the shoulders are much higher quality as well. And the little touch pad almost always functions as a mouse control in all PC games. Pretty great.
I can't wait for the Xbone controller to be able to be wirelessly connected because it's micro usb port is the fucking worst.

It can do that? Wow, awesome.

Maybe to you. The xbone controller feels so horrible in my hands. The 360 controller was better than it.
Here's hoping they make the wireless compatible with windows.
xbox one controller is really nice for me on pc; I just dislike how clicky and loud the RB and LB buttons are. And I've tested it on multiple ones;
after the ds4 controller I love how that controller responds to pressing all the buttons, etc

For fighting games I can't use anything other than a DualShock 4 [sp]or a keyboard[/sp]
I tried Killer Instinct 3 but using an Xbox controller for 2D fighters feels wrong IMO.

That would be the third-party cable for MicroUSB. In fact i am using Play and Charge cable to "charge" my Xbone Controller for Wireless adapter release...It turned out that P&C can be also used to plug the controller to PC and play with it. It's actually true and the best part...It does not come off easily,it just sits there.
I'd get one for my PC cause I heard you can use Xbone controllers now, but the next gen controllers cost like £40 each.
like wtf that's as much as a full priced game
Hopefully they fixed the problem with the thumbsticks breaking inside the controller. Every single one I've held had that problem.
pressure sensitive face buttons aren't a feature in the latest ps4 controllers tho iirc, since kojima was basically the only dev to utilize it and it cost a lot more to make the controllers with them
if only more games took advantage of them, could really have opened up a crapton more control options
Already felt like they were do for a redesign of the whole console, this definitely makes it look like they'll announce one at E3.

In the Playstation consoles they've been around since the PS2 at the earliest, but I don't know how many others actually had analogue support despite using essentially the same mechanism (conductive pads and ribbons).
Even today so few games use the damn things though, a shame because it essentially more context sensitive binds per button.
According to a bunch of news sites, an Australian retailer leaked a bunch of images of the "new" Xbox One controller.
The upcoming pad will sport a new 3.5mm headphone jack, as we reported yesterday. There appears to be no further changes to the design, now shown off in box art posted to the retailer's site
