• Computer won't boot, no reason why

I've been having this problem since launch day of black ops, the piece of shit crashed and when I tried to reboot I got the message I'm getting now. It's happened maybe once a month since then, and usually I can fix it by wiggling cables around and doing nothing specific. I'm incredibly far from a computer expert, but I know it's something about my mobo not detecting my hard drive. I haven't touched it since I turned it off last night, so it's either the government experimenting on insanity or my computer is sentient and spiting me. the message is: pci express to pata ide controller rom v.(numbers) detecting drives, please wait I've been wiggling cables around for about an hour now, nothing. I googled it earlier, nothing. Why the fuck won't this fucking piece of shit-dick fucking work? I'm on my android phone right now (derp) so I can't upload pictures or anything and I paraphrased the message. finally got it fixed, got a friend from the barracks to look at it and he did the same exact thing I've been doing
What'd he do? I've had a similar problem recently.
