So it's a sequel to Mass Effect? Oh boy I can't wait to play as Shepard again, but how will they continue the story arc?

If they change writers again, yeah. No idea why they didn't get Karpshyn back for ME3, and no idea what they put in his drink to make him think of the scenario for ME2.
If Dragon Age 3 isn't a return to something approaching Bioware's pre EA standards I can't say I will give a shit what Mass Effect 4 is called. Also how could anything post ME3 [sp]synthesis[/sp] ending not be really really dumb. I think I'm happiest believing ME1 is where the fiction of Mass Effect begins and ends, despite some of the great moments that come after, it felt like a complete and sensible story.
I want a game set between ME1 and ME2 where you play as Garrus doing his cool stuff.

How could anything post any of the endings not be dumb? They can't make three different games, so this will be fucking awful, or a prequel... that's also fucking awful.

The best thing Bioware can do right now, is start a new IP, because their two current ones are tainted with a really shit canon storyline now. Dragon Age isn't as bad, because fuck all actually happened in DA2 until the end, and it didn't fuck up too badly.
