I get to have more fun with IRL friends, but internet friends are easier to talk to about the hard shit and also the niche shit

It seems a glaring flaw has been found within my thread. I did not take into account internet friends transitioning into RL friends.
Allow me to mull over this for a couple of nights. I need to make things right. I thought I had it perfect from the get go, I spent several nights working on this.

I know almost all my "internet" friends in real life so RL for me.
I can't talk about being a degenerate irl but I can online, however a lot of my Internet friends are hard to talk to about "normie" shit because they r mostly neets
Pretty much all my net friends I talk to apart from one or two I've met IRL at least once so equal I guess since they're both just as cool.
After meeting a few of my online friends in-person the illusion that they are only online friends dissipated and I became capable of forming even stronger bonds with people online. The person in the chat or game isn't just rendered on your screen, he or she is behind a monitor just like you staring right back at your virtual avatar.
In other words: Online friends are just as real to me as my "real life" friends. They're just much harder to meet.
Internet friends do not have enough power over you to stab you in the back
There is goodness in both - you can chat to internet mates at 2:55am, but you can have that unequivocal communication that cannot be surpassed with personal communication.
Both have their ups and down.

Pretty much true. Some of my best RL buds are people I've met on the internet while playing videogames and getting involved with communities.
It's one of these experiencess that really change your outlook on the matter
I have a stronger bond with certain people online because I've known them forever, whereas I've moved frequently and haven't been able to keep in touch with a lot of friends in person. So my "best" friends are people I can keep in touch with online some going on 10 years, now.
I used to have a couple of online friends but they all left one by one over the years. I have a handful of real-life friends who've stuck by me even though I'm an abrasive cunt and not very nice to be with, and I'm thankful for that.
Internet friends are easier to stay in touch with so I prefer them
I talk to my RL friends way more frequently, though recently I've been talking to them more over the internet, ironically.
My internet friends are nicer, more awesome and are there for me more than my real life friends, oddly enough :v:
I've pretty much have lost contact with all my internet friends. Makes some sense though since my main interests have moved away from internet prone things and I've embraced my concrete real life interests more.
Like I've said before, I treat friends I meet on websites like this like strangers you share a train ride or whatever with. So I am free to talk openly about stuff I would never say to my real life friends, because chances are I will never meet any of you in person anyways, and even if we passed each other on the street we would have no way of recognizing one another.

Used to have Internet friends but not anymore, going to uni made my friend group smaller too
I only have about 6 real good friends. All of which I met online.
I have met 4 of them in real life and I would LOVE to hang out with them more. 2 of which we had a blast but they live 5 states away. The other 2 are closer but have lives and don't share interests outside of games.
So, yeah. If I had a choice I'd pick RL over computer. It's a lot more intimate when you can actually reach out and hug your best friend.
