I think that some divine entity is out to get me because every pair of in ear headphones i have breaks. A sennheiser pair i had a while ago, broke in one side after a few months. A bunch of headphones after that, eventually became dimmer in one ear (i hate this!). I then got a pair of logitechs which broke in one side IN ONE DAY!
I then got a pair of brainwavz M2, which had a thick ass cord (big reason why i bought them, more durable). They lasted quite a while, but now theyve broken, and ive got some crappy 2 dollar pair now.
I treat my headphones pretty well. I dont wrap them around my ipod or anything, dont stretch them, but at the same time, i dont want to have to coil them in a certain way or have to put them in some special case or some crap every time i put them away. What can i do about this? And can anyone recommend some IEM's that wont break easily? Most IEMs have really thin cords which put me off buying them. I dont see the point in spending $80+ on headphones when they could break in a couple of months.
When putting your headset away, get it's plug, put it on your palm, hold it with ur thumb and then wrap it around your hand, then you just pull it out and shove it in a pocket or anything.
I do that with all my headsets and they usually last 5~~12 months, they usually break due to other people's dumbfuckery.
Just use apple headphones, every person with an iPhone has then, so when they break you just swap it with someone else' :v:

They suck so much though! It barely feels like im listening to music with them, theyre so muddled, i can barely distinguish between anything. Clear sounding IEMS are 10 times better, and make me want to listen to music for hours.
bump
I think we all have this problem in someway or another.
And this is why I buy 1 euro ear headsets.
They're cheap, the audio is okay and if they break I can just get a cheap new one.
Every headphone breaks. No excuses. When that happens to my Porta-pro's I just go to a local radioshack-workshop thingy and they replace my audio jack with a custom one. For the parts and the work I usually pay 3 bucks and they last for about 6 months before I pay 3 bucks again.

You can't possibly have a good audio for 1 euro (unless you're listening to shortwave radio chatter and not 50mb FLAC's)

50MB FLAC's? You're doing it wrong.
Physically impossible. Earphones always have a set time to die the second you buy them. Inevitable.

I did that around 5 times :v:
Koss PortaPro is a great headset, which includes life warranty.
I got around 400$ income by chaning my bad headset around 7-8 times.

I don't see what he is doing wrong.

I hate that headset so bad, other people are hearing the music better than yourself with them. :v:
You buy over ear headphones.
In ear headphones, while convenient, are notorious for offering less audio quality, being easily broken, and and are worse for your ear health.

Good enough quality for me.
That pretty much means that you have never used a nice pair of headphones.
I like music, but I can't afford to get super high quality headphones.
you dont buy in ear headphones. Stop spending the same amount numerous times on these shit ones. Save and buy decent headphones, see guide in tech forum for more info.
