One of my best friends has PTSD from a very long life of depression and metal strain leaving him with 'flashs' when he closes his eyes some times of horrible situations. When it is really acting up he can't do anything, some times even losing things like swallowing. He was having a bad time with it all night tonight and he is asking me now to stay and chat with him over steam so he can better deal with it; it is now 4 am and if I did stay with him I would be up for around a good 6 hours extra. I need a little help, any people with PTSD know anything I can tell him and what honestly should I do?
Well I dont know much about PTSD, but I wish him all the best. Maybe look for someone professional to help him?

Not sure if that is an option for him. I decided to stay up with him seeing as he has helped me with some shit and he is also on a 3 hour time advance so maybe I can get some sleep [IMG]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/rainbow.png[/IMG].
