• Google Chrome Slowing Down

Alright so: Basically after I start up my computer, Chrome acts like it normally does, no problems. Runs fast, new tabs open fine. But after a while of closing and opening tabs and windows, I notice that things are slower. It takes nearly ten seconds to load a new tab. I'll use Facepunch as an example because apparently that's a popular website. After loading a new tab, I go to Facepunch and it takes longer than normal to load up. But if I go to a subforum it loads up quickly. But if I open a subforum in a new tab it loads slowly. It does this with every website I go to and even when I open a URL from a Steam chat window or something. I don't know why it's doing this, but it is. I've tried clearing my cache, history, shit like that and no luck. Also if I restart my computer it runs fast again, but slows down as I use it, like I said. I also tried to use Firefox but that crashed literally every time I loaded a website.
The odd thing is tabs in Chrome are stored as their own individual processes, so ram should be freed when a tab is closed and it should continue to work fast. I think if you right click the tab area in Chrome, you can access the "task manager" of Chrome, which will tell you what each tab and also the main processes of Chrome how much RAM they are using, if any tabs are downloading content etc. When the slowdowns occurs you should check that none of the tabs or the main process are using a large amount of RAM, or that they aren't downloading. There could also be an addon that you're using with Chrome causing the problem
Yeah I knew about that. That's not what the problem is. The problem is that it slows down after a while, no matter how many tabs I have. I'll just keep looking for a solution I guess.
Try closing and opening chrome all together.
This happened to me. I reinstalled chrome (you can back up your bookmarks) and it sorted it for me.
Hi, ColossalSoft, try this software to manage chrome's task:http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/3013/use_chrome_task_manager_to_kill_tabs/ If it won't help, the easiest way is reinstall it and install it again. Hope it may help you
Reinstalling didn't do shit. Well it kind of did. It's doesn't take as long as before when loading but still takes a while. And again, it's nothing to do with tasks.
