It actually gets easier as you go on. Upgrading your dudes makes them scale really, really well.

I'd suggest it. It's got a decent amount of content so far.

Currently there are the "staging" grounds which are their own areas with their own flavour of enemies... You could have called the versions before this major patch as a near completed game!
But when the game releases you'll get the "endgame" content- reclaiming the [B]darkest dungeon[/B].

Just be warned it can be a biiit RNG heavy.

It has a fair bit of content for an early access, and feels very good and 'right' but as said is very RNG heavy and still yet unfinished.
This is good news, I think I'm going to leave it for now though. I've put a fair bit of time into the game but I don't really want to play any more out of fear of burning out before the game is even finished. This is a huge problem with early access, in my opinion, one that can't really be solved either.
