I'm guessing this is what was leaked a few months back. It showed a bunch of time periods with former characters and newer ones.

If the leak is correct, this isn't the only snippet that is going to featured.
the more I think about it though, this could be an interesting concept.

Yeah it actually does seem pretty interesting, having the ability to shift between different time periods would certainly add something more.
Also it seems that there's an Apple of Eden, or some other piece of First Civilisation tech, being activated atop the Eiffel Tower. Well that's just peachy, not only is it Templars, now it's Nazi Templars.
