Quake 1 and 2 Mods.? ( looking for some good one,s ) - General

looking for some good ( fan made Single player campaign ) for Quake 1 and Quake 2

I remember [URL="http://www.markshan.com/podstrn/noviprj.htm"]Pax Imperia[/URL] being a very good map pack for Quake II, though it needed KMQuakeII to run. I'd still check it out.

When it comes to Doom and Quake mods I basically look for stuff the kind of stuff that does its best to emulate the original map design, which can be kind of hard to come across. I haven't tried many mods for Quake before but one that I did really like was Terra. [url]https://www.quaddicted.com/reviews/terra.html[/url] I don't know if it was unfinished or what because it just kind of ends after the sixth level, even though 7 are included, but the seventh level appears to be some unfinished tidbit. Still, they're all pretty good and challenging.

For Quake 1, there is Nehara, extremely hard unofficial sequel to Quake, also available as a machinima viewed in-engine. Kurok is a standalone mod. After The Fall Quake Rally, fun as hell racing game. I haven't modded Quake 2, or played much Quake 2 at all, but I've heard Digital Paintball 2 is pretty good and is standalone since the engine became open source.

I'm not well versed on Q2 mods, but I know plenty of good/fun Q1 ones. AirQuake Nehahra - fantastic "sequel" mod to Quake. Great in coop. Travail - nice mission pack-styled mod for Quake. There's also Checkered Flag:GoldCup which is Quake Rally but with Bots and more cars Insomnia has some amazing level design, I'd recommend this if you are looking for a campaign along with Nehahra. Into the Shadows is a good stealth mod, though I'm not sure how long it is. Navy Seals is a little 90s-conversion ish, but if you want to see what evolved into Counter-Strike check it out Target Quake is a fun Quake 1 sidescroller Shrak is pretty good retail TC, though you'll probably have a hard time finding it/getting it to work. I'd also check out Quoth (a mappers mod) and the maps that are created for it.
