• Question about borderlands

Ok, so I'm looking at Steam right now and Borderlands is on there for sale. My question is, if I buy and download it from steam, will that make me able to use the models like Sledge and Brick in there or am I still sh** out of luck?
It's going for 20 dollars right now.
Thanks, I'll post later after it's done downloading either confirming or denying that I can.
I have this thing on Xbox 360 with all game addons. o_o [editline]19th February 2011[/editline] It doesn't work. v_v Well, there's 20 dollars wasted. Fucking steam.
I wouldn't call it wasted. You get a great game for $20, sounds like a deal to me.
It "doesn't work". Can your PC run it? It's probably not steam's fault.
It runs fine, the problam is that gmod doesn't use the props and ragdolls from the game.
I don't get why people hate Borderlands, I thought it was pretty fun when you played with good people.
Its awesome. Gameplay is really extended with the DLC. You don't see that alot these days, $30,- DLC wich adds 1/2 weapon and some new character.
The game itself was fun until you got to Rust Commons and everything felt too repetitive and similar, don't get me wrong I love Borderlands though. The DLC makes it great, killing Zombies in Zombie Island, lots of driving in General Knoxx, I still haven't beaten Claptrap's Robot Revolution yet but it's pretty nice too, and Underdome Riot, well... Boobies & Bank?
I bought borderlands after the sale a while back, no one wanted to play with me. It's no fun with pubs By the way, you can download this http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=83621
It runs fine, the problam is that gmod doesn't use the props and ragdolls from the game.
So let me get this straight. You bought the PC version so you could get the models for use in Gmod? What? Did you expect to just click a check box in Gmod and there you go - Borderlands models? It doesn't work like that, sorry.

Most source engine games (TF2, HL2, L4D, etc) have complete compatibility with gmod because gmod is a source-based game. Borderlands is not a source based game. Some people find ways to get models from other games into the source engine or completely re make the model in source so that it's compatible.
