Just what everyone wanted: another piece of Final Fantasy XIII related media.
Calling it now, XIII-3 is released before we even get a release date for Versus XIII.
I hope they just bump Versus-XIII to being XV. It's nothing like XIII and as someone who usually doesn't give a fuck about FF it looks really good.
where's KH3?

Wait why would they attach it the the FFXIII series if it's nothing like FFXIII?

They're both part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis. In other words they all share and build upon a common mythos, its akin to the Ivalice Alliance, which consists of every final fantasy game set in Ivalice (FFXII and FF Tactics are good examples).
Why can't it be a god damn re-make of Final Fantasy 7. We don't need 5 sequels to the number 13

Okay, I see that XIII-2 had a cliffhanger sequel hook and so forth, and that there's still a story to be told
but god fucking dammit, unless all this shit needs to be filled in before Versus XIII happens, just put the resources into V.XIII already so that Square can finally do something with it, THEN work on XIII-3. I can't be the only one tired of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series.

It might be that. It could also be the fact that the FFXIII series has sold over 9.6 million units so far.
FFXIII was the worst FF for me.
I liked XIII and XIII-2. Not the best FF games by far but I didn't absolutely hate it like most people. I actually rather enjoyed both of them.

I haven't bought any DLC yet though.
Liked XIII better than XIII-2 (more thanks to the story), even though the latter had better gameplay elements. The first one just felt like you had a certain urgency and a major goal to work towards, while the second felt like everyone could take it easy and you'd randomly stumble on the end of the game.
I've not played final fantasy XIII-2 yet, but i wish i kinda did to continue on the storyline.
I'm kinda looking forward to this. FFXIII and -2 was pretty good. but holy shit, why do they use XIII characters in such an unrelated sequel? At least the lore was fleshed out more. I can't say i'm a HUGE fan, but i'm absolutely up for -3.
But goddamn. Bring on 15 and please take more hints from the VIII-X era. That's the very least they could do, since they refuse to take hints from earlier than that.

It's just that... well. It stopped being Fabula Nove Crystallis the second XIII-2 was announced. It's not about the power of chrystals anymore. It's about Marty McFly: Gook adventures.
