Don't care.

Why not? Isn't this a software forum as well? :(
people who have half a brain use firefox or chrome.
That address bar/tab bar design is fucking stupid.
Why shrink the address bar when the tab bar isn't even being used much?
Stick the tabs on top and be done with it.
Outside of the Windows subforum (and even it in) you're bound to just start a shitwar from those people who curse the name IE just because it's called IE. And having not used it too.
Even if you hate IE, you should download it. It will replace IE8, which occasionally pops up when you use certain applications. Also, programs that use it internally (Like Steam used to do) will benefit from it.

Because you have your window that small. Plus it's optional to have the tabs there, you can change it to be under.
For anyone that took the time to actually try this out, they would find that this performs much better than firefox and is almost on par with chrome.
I'm going to man up and try this for the entire day.
The first thing I've noticed is the scrolling. I have hardware accelleration "Enabled" on Chrome, yet the scrolling is still a lot more jerky than IE9, which is like butter. It also takes up less vertical space, which would make it ideal for netbooks or people with smaller screens (A good improvement over IE8).
As much as I appreciate their effort to implement modern web standards, It isn't enough.
It just screams IE6 again to me (CSS2). It has new features but they aren't complete or anywhere near competing browsers. (HTML5/CSS3 and still some CSS2)
I was pretty optimistic before the RC, I thought they would actually make an effort to make a good browser. But nope.
Sure, it beats IE6/7/8 but it should do, they're all over at least 2 years old now.

It still fails Acid 3... What the fuck IE.

Steam uses webkit and such for the internet.

I'm using Opera, thus I'm a dumbass.
This is pretty cool. Does not have all the addons that I use in chrome or firefox so I don't think I will use for my main but at least its better than the IE8

That's why I said "Used to".

I'm comparing the scrolling you get when you middle click.
If only I could post that demotivational I just found....
oh well...
Internet Explorer
The number one browser for downloading a better browser.
Many of my friends deny using anything else but Internet Explorer, so finally they will use a better and faster browser.
I'm still sticking to Chrome though.
Only website this is useful for is http://isstevejobsdead.com
Uses almost all of IE's graphics capabilities.
I went to download the 7 x64 version (as thats what I have) and it said that it didnt support my windows, so it sent me a link to download it for vista?

Because in business environments it is much easier to manage ie with some of the built in controls

Yeah, why improve something that sucks? :downs:
After using IE9 for an entire day, it's certainly an improvement. However, there is one major feature that's lacking: Spellcheck
Seriously, what the fuck? Browsers from 2002 had spellcheck!

I think there was a addon for IE but I don't think it worked with 9 last time I checked(was a beta).

I was quite odd'd out by this.
MSE uses IE/Trident. Since you were replacing the files it had to shut it down. It restarts everything though.

Only for admins who have no clue, though. Admins who have a clue roll their own MSIs with system defined settings, or use the ones provided on the web (some builds also have gpo template files)
