Maybe, and just maybe, you remember me from this thread: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1038804-Thinking-about-buying-the-Athlon-II-X4-640-3.0-GHz?highlight=
As you can see, I didn't get the processor... and there is a reason. Now I can buy things online (yaay), so there are probably better options. I was wondering 2 things:
1.- What should I upgrade?
2.- Where should I buy it? (giving me a link to the product would make it really easy).
Things you need to know:
1.- I live in Chile.
2.- My budget is low. I should say that my super mega max. is $200 ($150 is the ideal).
3.- I use my PC mostly for gaming and I'm looking for a new processor (because, well, I think it's the most important, right?)
Also, my specs:

That's it.
I hope you guys can help me like you did in that thread (thanks to all of you).
Have a nice day.
You could buy a stick or 2 more of Ram. Maybe a new Processor. GPU is fine at the moment.
Get another 2GB of RAM, try an unlock the cores of your CPU and spend the rest on a GPU
What's your PSU? AM3 CPUs should work with AM2 upon a BIOS update.
I'll try to find a deal on an AM3/CPU. Maybe a GPU, too.

If you don't want to fiddle with BIOS flashing, get this:
CPU/Mobo combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.572623
GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131381&cm_re=4830-_-14-131-381-_-Product
And because I assume that your PSU is shit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371023&cm_re=Antec_Basiq-_-17-371-023-_-Product
The RAM will do for now, and will work in the new mobo.
Really?
I mean, wouldn't it be better If I spend all the money in a CPU and then I buy a GPU later when I got more money? because they way I see it, spliting my low budget in a CPU AND a GPU will give me shitty parts.
In fact, I'm changing my question:
For $200 (at max, as I say $150 is the ideal) is there any CPU better than the Athlon II X4 640 3.0 GHz that worh it's price?, or should I go for that one? (it costs $140 in my local store).
And btw, what is the best place to buy computer parts online?
Thanks.

Get things from Newegg, they tend to be cheapest.
I have an Athlon II X3 445 3.1ghz, and I game at 1280x1024. To be honest, in demanding games my videocard, not my CPU, is what limits me.
My point is you could probably save a few dollars, get an X3 instead of X4, and see the same performance you'd get from buying the more expensive CPU.
If you are planning to upgrade your videocard card too someday soon, then it might be worth it to go with the more powerful CPU. But for gaming at 1360x768 with a 4670 I think a triple core would do the job.

Yeah, a triple core would do the job... for the moment, and to be honest, I don't want to upgrade again for 2 years. I mean, some of the latest games run ok with the HD 4670, so I don't think that the GPU is going to limit me right now.
I game at 1360 x 780.
I'm almost sure that I want just a CPU. So, anything better?
Also, are you sure that Newegg doesn't ship to Chile?, any other site?
I'm using an Athlon II X4 2.8 processor, but it's mainly my ATI Radeon HD 5750 that's holding my gaming back.

But I definitely think you should get a new CPU.

I know. That's why I'm asking for a better CPU for that price.
I'm not very knowledgeable about CPUs (I just saved up the money for an i7. I probably could have gotten a better deal, but I've never had any troubles), however I will say that a big part of your problem (at least as far as games go) is your GPU. I'd save up a little bit more and get a beefy one that'll last you a year or two. I posted this in another thread, figured it could be useful here:
SonofBrim;27091908']For a GPU, I'd recommend something out of nvidia's GeForce GTX series. While prices range from around $175 (GTX 460, will get you at LEAST 60fps on most games, but can drop to around 20 on more beefy games such as Crysis and Bad Company) to $500 (GTX 580, mine has never gotten framerates lower than 70fps, with the exception of Crysis, which still runs at around 50 maxed out). PNY cards come with lifetime warranties if you register them. If that still wasn't enough, don't forget that nVidia has tweak guides for almost every game in existence.
