Because camping at your sentry can sometimes be boring (and your team needs an Engineer), what games do you play while playing Engineer?
To start off the thread, I guess i'd only be playing PuzzleBits on my iPhone. I'm almost tempted to get XCOM EU, though I already have it on PC.

How to be a terrible Engineer 101. You want to be close to tend to it if need be, but being oblivious to things not your sentry gun is bad.

Balls to that. If I'm parked in the intel room in 2fort then you bet your ass I'm going to be reading War and Peace while smashing in the face of the occasional dumb spy that flits down to my lair.

Don't know what kind of Spies you've been wrenching this easily. If I tried to pull that off, the sentry would be sapped, me gunned down rather than stabbed, and then the intel lost because no one can seem to stop a gun ho Spy. That or my shots barely even hit and his crit 100%.
That's why I played combat engineer with mini-sentry in King of the Hill.
Shit was so cash back then, I remember having like the entire top 6 of the enemy dominated at once. Hell, even my mini-sentry has managed to land dominations on lolscouts and pyros.
Sometimes on trade servers I go Gunslinger and fuck around with the snipers by constantly placing mini sentries and running away.

Serves those gits right.
You must be a shit Engineer if you are just sitting around with the sentry doing nothing for so long that you need to occupy yourself doing something else
I constantly feel rushed like something needs to be done, keeping dickheads from destroying my stuff and moving the teleporters around as the team pushes never stops

The thing about proper sentry placement is that it seems to reward the player with boredom. Yeah, you wouldn't get anywhere your sentry at a location that nobody will reach anyways, but in some maps, reasonable sentry placement deters people from even going to that area.
I remember playing 2fort placing the sentry near the briefcase and supporting my team fight the heavy-medics and the soldiers at the bridge while the sentry took care of the scouts
times before even the hat store came
building parkour
vc spam
teammate-wrench-smack
wait FUCK you meant ACTUAL GAMES LOL
I thought you meant like the little things done to entertain yourself while sitting there.

Move the sentry around and people will be paranoid wondering where that sentry gun went. Only for them to grab the intel and get put down at another entrance. Otherwise, just fight along with your team. Your buildings are tools, not a crutch. Maybe the reason you're bored is because you put your gun where no one ever goes.
Source: Someone had to be muted from voice chat because they screamed every time my sentry found them.

How 'bout I pop an uber right there, hm?

Maybe if you play against bad players.

That's why you go hunting in the area around your sentry. Most of the time the idiots will chase you directly into your sentry's sights.
If I'm not busy with spies or soldiers or anything, I like to run up to teammates and say "Nice shot!" or "Good work!" and see if they respond with a thanks or something. You'd be surprised how few people actually seem to notice.
Nice shot..?
I just remember shouting more battle cry and go go go if someone killed someone.
When I first started playing TF2, I would build a sentry and dispenser in the 2fort spiral staircase and just turtle there, sometimes for over an hour.
