Which is why it's a very roughly support version of offline play, it was meant for internal developer testing.

Yes, the possibilty to go offline exists, but without the ability to save or use most of the features of the game.

Except the guy in the video states he can save his progress and changes and the game loads them up just fine later.

That's because his saves are actually uploaded to the cloud.
Although, the save does temporarily exist on your computer before it sends it to the cloud.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was cracked, but a crack implies that a pirate altered the game client specifically for that.
