Probably, but why are you buying a 9800gt?
Probably, but why are you buying a 9800gt?
dad's birthday gift since he can't go any higher on price than 170 this has to include delivery to Nth island and GST.
I don't know how good the cpu is but I have a 9800 gt with factory overclocks, an amd athlon 64 x2 6000+ and 2 gb 800 ram and I can run the game fine. Compare your cpu with mine (look it up).
You might be able to get 2x aa with that card in crysis.

oh god 667 memory x.x that was so slow for me...
oh god 667 memory x.x that was so slow for me...
That came out of my shitty e2160 thank you. And it's not that bad. Anyways, i know it will run at it because I've seen a 2400HD run it, but that was at shitty res. anyways i'm out of time so i wont be on until thursday to check up on this. Laters.
You'll be able to run it OP. I just bought the 240 which is the same as the 245, except the 245 has a higher multiplier + clock speed.
I can play crysis on a AMD single core at 2.97 and a 3450
If you can get a 4770 for roughly the same price then get it because it's a little faster than the 9800.
If you can get a 4770 for roughly the same price then get it because it's a little faster than the 9800.
I don't know why it took so long for someone to say this. This.
5770 for $155
I used to max it out on an overclocked 9800GT. But yeah, now is a terrible time to buy a 9800GT. At a certain point, the price of parts that aren't new, but aren't quite old yet rise dramatically. That's what the 9800GT is doing right now.
No, About medium settings no AA unless you want a slideshow when there is action.

Just take off the 4x AA and you'll be over 35, maybe 40FPS.

I have an 8800GT and it can run Crysis on high, with 2x AA, at 1680x1050. You should be fine.
what about if you have 2 9800's in SLI?
You can't run it on max but you can definitely run it on high with anti aliasing and a decent framerate.
