So i have two HP computers that when you try to power them on the fans come on and all the drives spin up but are not being accessed. the first one is a plavilion s3120n and was working but then the video just turned into a artifact. when i put a fan on it worked fine and and brought what i think is the north bridge down to ~35 from 50 and would not do that. but then one day it just did this. the second one was given to me because its like this and is a Pavilion a6403w. when they took it to staples they just wiped the HDD and said it was fine. my guess is that its the north bridge getting thermal wear, but i have never seen this before so its just a guess. does my guess sound right and if thats the case is there any other way to fix it other than reflow.

Also to update I tried the processor and ram and both work so I ordered a cheap motherboard.
