I recently built an HTPC for my new HDTV and have audio and video running through the video cards HDMI port. I need to run wireless headphones through the setup for my half deaf room mate while retaining the audio on the TV speakers.
Anyone have any idea of what I need to do here?

Virtual audio cable, have Line 1 your default sound output and split it to the HDMI out and whatever the wireless headphones use. Make sure to select a small buffer or there'll be more delay, I recommend not playing games like this though, just use it for movies (I just set media player classics sound output to Line 1, and keep my default to my headphones).
