So my grandma died today. She is getting buried in a different country (1 day driving (so it would take 4 days minimum to be there)).
I can just skip school for the rest of the week because I have nothing important. My brother however got 5 test next week. They are basically deciding if he can go to university or not. My mom and dad already left a few hours ago and I'm stuck babysitting my brother. I'm kinda pissed off at my brother because I was close with grandma when she was still healthy (sick for a few years now) and me and him are the only ones not going to the funeral (we look like fucking dicks).
I personally never learned for exams more then 1 day before and I think my brother does the same (but he is getting marks then I ever had). I think my brother just doesn't feel like going to the funeral and made learning for exams up as an excuse. I do however think its more important for my brother to get a good education then going to my grandmothers funeral but if he is just going to sit around doing nothing I might actually decide to kill him.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make sure he studies (hard enough to make the test perfectly). I will change my minecraft and steam password (which he uses as well). I plan on sitting in his room alot doing my own work on my crappy laptop next to him and make sure he doesn't do anything besides learning (I seriously want him to learn non-stop). But I have to go to school as well and I because I go to school pretty far away I come home late and he could skip on learning for a good 4 hours. Anyone got any more ideas on how to force him to learn?

Just hold a steady eye on him without being creepy. If he's not doing his work, then tell him to.
I think you already gave the best idea, just join him in his room where you can keep an eye on him, while doing your own work.
Watch him like a hawk.
If he does anything that isn't studying, scream like a banshee and stab him.
Do this for hours. If you feel like you're about to fall asleep, stab yourself a little bit to keep yourself vigilant.
Or maybe just talk to him about how studying is important, and he should be prepared for this test since it's important for his future.
I prefer the stabbing one.
Just let him not work until the last day and get a decent/good mark just like everybody else does

Yea except I missed my grandmothers funeral for nothing then. He better be studying 24/7 and get perfect scores...

I just don't believe he needs to study 5 days for some test. I feel like a dick (and probably are) for not being able to go to my grandmothers funeral... And yes if my brother made it up I am blaming him.
