• Ways to get my parents to allow me to get the iPhone?

Hey guys, I don't know if you say my other threads but I am planning on switching from my Blackberry Curve 8520 to the iPhone 4. I did a ton of research on it and I made my decision on it. My Blackberry's been acting up for like 2 months. What happens is that when I unlock it, it would load forever, one time it loaded for like 5 minutes then it loaded again after 2 minutes of use for 10 minutes. I had to take my battery out and restart it which takes up to 2~3 minutes. I have the money to get the iPhone 4 myself, and there is a nearby AT&T store in my town. But the thing is that I usually don't do stuff that would make my parents get upset or angry because then they tend to blame each other, blame me, get super pissed, and I would feel like utter shit. So my mom is basically alright with me getting it although she keeps on saying "No", but the main reason is my dad. He tends to get batshit angry when me or my sister decides to get a new phone when our 2 years contracts over. Me and my sister are heavy cellphone users, texting and stuff. But when we put our phones down we don't just put it down softly but like toss it down. I was just wondering, what can i tell my dad to let me get the iPhone 4, so that he will understand that I should be old enough to make my own decisions slowly. I'm using my own money, and I offered to my mom that I will start to pay for my own phone charges. So ideas? If none of the ideas are that great, I was wondering how I can make my Blackberry seemingly not work without them realizing it's not broken. I am planning on selling this phone to somebody I know because he really wants the Blackberry. So how do I seemingly "break" my Blackberry?
If you have the money, why do you have to ask? just go there and get it, your money, your decision.
Isn't there an app which makes your screen look like it's cracked? Try that!

How old are you OP? [editline]6th November 2010[/editline] Because if I was you dad, I would have more of a problem switching networks than just the phone.
I have had iPhone for 3 years, and I wish I had gotten rid of it after month one.
money to get the iPhone 4 myself
You have $700 or alternately $200 up front with $1500 in fees over two years? Then nothing's stopping you
Don't get it, it's a waste of money.
Get a Droid, or a HTC
I have had iPhone for 3 years, and I wish I had gotten rid of it after month one.
why?
I have had iPhone for 3 years, and I wish I had gotten rid of it after month one.
I've had mine for 2 years and a half, held together by a piece of duct tape, and it still rocks.
Get a Galaxy, or ANY android based, iphone is an overrated piece of SHIT
Like i said. I DECIDED on the iPhone already.
Like i said. I DECIDED on the iPhone already.
well RECONSIDER
My parents are already thinking about the iPhone deal. So most likely I will be getting it now.
The man's already made his decision, this is not an iPhone bashing thread.
Really, get an android instead, they are cooler and better and you don't look like a hipster when using them.
The only android based phone that AT&T has is the Galaxy S which I don't like cause it's too big for my taste. The HTC Aria I saw at the mall, it's pretty small but I'm not a huge fan of how it looks.
Tell them your phone is broken and you need a new.
Don't listen to this man. Bust him across the face with the broken phone. It'll break more and become apparent that it needs replacement
I don't think tossing your phone like it's a piece of trash is going to get you an Iphone.
Score a 90 GPA. The will buy you the world.
Screw the phone, buy some hookers. [editline]7th November 2010[/editline]
Don't listen to this man. Bust him across the face with the broken phone.
Don't get it, it's a waste of money.
I don't understand this Android phones cost around the same as an iPhone in terms of apps not factored in and apps really don't cost that much and do the same thing as in Android with a bit more polish compared to most Android apps It's a matter of preference
