My cpu didn't come with thermal grease where do I buy some?
newegg if you are in US/Canada Novatech or SCAN if you are in the UK dont know about anywhere else
are you sure you don't have it? on stock coolers it's already on the base of the cooler, you don't have to put it on yourself
Yeah I found it on the base of the fan after posting this.
newegg if you are in US/Canada Novatech or SCAN if you are in the UK dont know about anywhere else
Or, if in Canada, Memoryexpress.com Usually cheaper overall compared to Newegg because of taxes. Like, I live in British Columbia, we have PST/GST. They are based in Alberta so I only have to pay GST WITH free shipping. Newegg has me pay for shipping and GST/PST. Plus it takes longer for them to ship. But, you found it already.
What's the best thermal paste I can get ~10$ in the U.S. preferably newegg. So far, looking at OCZ Freeze and Silver 5. [editline]04:18AM[/editline] Looking at this article I found what I needed.
Fun fact: At least in my area, RadioShack sells ArcticSilver5.

What about in Australia. I am trying to get some as well and I can't seem to find any here.
My local computer store sells it..
Not surprising. There are more uses for thermal compound than just CPU coolers.
AS5 on MOSFETs for most DIY-projects is kinda overkill. :v:
Don't do what someone else did and buy Thermal CEMENT.
Don't do what someone else did and buy Thermal CEMENT.
LOLWUT who did that?
you can get it at frys and microcenter, is it an intel or AMD processor? most of intels' stock cooler already have thermal paste on it.
most of intels' stock cooler already have thermal paste on it.
All stock coolers and some aftermarket coolers come with thermal compound.
All stock coolers and some aftermarket coolers come with thermal compound.
really? i thought with AMD cpu's you needed to get it separately.
Don't do what someone else did and buy Thermal CEMENT.
lol'd "hey this cooler is a bitch to get off HHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG *SNAP* OH FUCK, OH FUCK, OH FUCK I BROKE SOMETHING DFLJKKJHBD\RLGKJVABHDLFHJBFD.KJG"
