He'll block the judge on Twitter. :v:
I want my money back, or change to another game
I hope Gearbox lose, they deserve it for selling people this piece of shit under false pretenses.
I played the actual game before ever seeing the demo. I was a bit disappointed but nonetheless rather enjoyed the game.
Then I heard everyone complaining about the game and decided to watch a real game/demo comparison video. Now even I feel lied too.
Usually even if a game is bad, I have the tendency to finish them regardless. But this game is just so blatantly bland I couldn't even finish the campaign.

Honestly I feel bad for Sega here, they are more of a victim than a conspirator here.
Oh god, stop bringing it up already.
Why people can't just get themselves a damn refund and leave it alone?

Yeah, we should totally let them get away with it. I mean they won't do it again... will they?
Also PC players can't get a refund because of steams "no refund" policy (though they do give you a single complimentary refund.

This isn't like Mass Effect 3 where the made promises they couldn't keep.
They blatantly made a demo to show off the game that wasn't representative of the quality of the game.
Don't these early demos usually say stuff like "Game is subject to change and this demo may not represent the final product" or something like that? If it did then this lawsuit might not go far.

But then Gearbox swore up and down that's what we'd get.
I hope Gearbox lose, they deserve it for selling people this piece of shit under false pretenses.
It would certainly make more developers actually put more effort into their products and deter those who aim to just shit out a buggy game and cash in on it.
Wait, are they suing over that E3 demo? Good fucking luck. Those things are hardly ever representative of final quality and usually say so somewhere.
Wait, are they suing over that E3 demo? Good fucking luck. Not to mention all the shit that was in the E3 demo that wasn't in the final product, there's a video out there that analyzes all of that.

And i'm not disputing that it was different from the E3 demo. I'm saying that they are suing for an E3 demo which had the words "work in progress" meaning it wasn't done and wasn't representative of the final product. It would be like suing EA for spore because it was different from the E3 demo and lacking features from said demo.
Now if the trailers were being misleading, that would be one thing. But the trailers showed COD Aliens and I assume from the reactions gotten COD Aliens is what you got.
I hope they nail Pitchford to a cross for this. He's nothing more than a business man, he's not a gamer or talented.
He knows how to lie and and manipulate people's nostalgia feelings and empty their wallets. A corporate criminal.
Well guess we won't be getting a borderlands 3, nice knowing you gearbox
Well guess we won't be getting a borderlands 3, nice knowing you gearbox
Not really
Gearbox just got Homeworld's IP, they can use the money destined for it on Borderlands 3 just like they did with ACM.

Gearbox is getting more and more unpopular every second.

A lawsuit like this isn't going to kill a company like Gearbox. :downs:
Am I the only one who wasn't impressed at all by the E3 demo?
They had it coming.
Honestly I feel bad for Sega here, they are more of a victim than a conspirator here.
Nope. They knew the game was awful 6 months before cert, and they are the ones who ordered the review embargo.
There are no good guys here save for the contract people like the ones at Polycount and CGSociety who put in hard work for a crap product. SEGA fired the guy who bought the Aliens license in the first place, and was going to cancel the in 2008 to begin with. They knew exactly what consumers were getting, just like they knew their other licensed games like Iron man, Thor and Hulk were crap.
SEGA is just as guilty as GBX and Timegate.
Finally, I thought this game was going under the carpet and ending up as "that game" category. Hopefully a good resolution can be reached, mostly a refund and a actual statement from Pitchford.

Watching this vid, and at the colony, IIRC, the Atmosphere Processor explosion was multi-megaton, according to Bishop(?), and would've erased the entire colony, not just blow the top off of the Processor. That kinda pisses me off. I guess it could be played off that the fusion reactor core was underground, but then the colony would've collapsed in on it's self.
ugh this why you shouldnt pre-order games and do some research before buying them, quit trying to blame anyone other than yourself for falling for this crap instead of suing devs you nerds

Chemical Alia... why does that name sound so familiar?
Whatever. If I were an artist for Gearbox, even an environmental one, I wouldn't be calling other people immature about anything. This is the company that proudly attached it's name to Duke Nukem Forever. Does that make her employers a bunch of immature creeps too?

She's the creator of The Saharan Spy set and several popular female class replacements for TF2. She posts her WIP threads in FP's TF2 section.
But anyways, SEGA is just a victim in my opinion - Gearbox was intentionally using the money they were given for Colonial Marines to work on Borderlands. I'm pretty sure that can be considered a scam.
