If I preorder the game there, will I get a steam key for it? I know I'm going to buy the game at some date anyway so I might as well get a good deal out of it.
You don't get a key for the game you choose, I know that. I just preordered and it gave me a download manager for Max Payne 3 that downloads over HTTP.
I'm not buying that game until I read/watch a comprehensive port report. [del]GTA IV[/del]2014 has been a lesson
As much as I want this game, I'm going to wait until after release to purchase. You never know in today's market how the game will turn out.
Well the site won't even show me the list of the free games and I can't continue without picking one, so I'm probably gonna end up having to buy it on steam through a US friend because of valve's $1=1€ bullshit
no preordering this year remember that well now that I think about it, we know gta v is a "good" game, I played it already and would like to play it again. But the problem now is how good the pc version is. is that worth pre ordering? a free game + cash? for a potentially bad port?
2014 has been a lesson
You must have missed Valkyria Chronicles' PC port.
Kinda bummed the offer is only for San Andreas on Steam. Would love to try out Bully
I'm not buying that game until I read/watch a comprehensive port report. [del]GTA IV[/del]2014 has been a lesson
Isn't the port being handled by the same guys who ported Max Payne 3? I mean, it's still more than enough reason to avoid pre-ordering. But there's enough evidence on the table to be confident in the port.
ehhhhhhhh capcom made amazing pc ports for a long while, and steam footage of dead rising 3 was no exception, it was running great on anything and ran above 60 on the recommended specs on max then it came out
Really? I heard it ran like shit before it came out.

If I farmed up trading cards and sold them all I'd probably have enough money to outright preorder this on PC. But I'd much rather wait to see if the port is gonna be any good.
I'd rather earn that money by myself, thank you.
I'd rather earn that money by myself, thank you.
Isn't the only way to earn money is to play the stock market? I last played in like october of 2013 and that was the only way to earn big money. also I thought you were funion for a minute.
the stock market doesnt even work in online lmao [editline]16th January 2015[/editline] have fun grinding, because really there is no rewarding feeling to earning money, considering you can blow it so fast
Good thing I have no plans for online, I meant single player.
the stock market doesnt even work in online lmao
still doesn't? what a fucking joke
dont pre order

An old free game and GTA$ aren't worth 60€.
the one with the weird mouse controls and the issue with tanks and slopes at 60fps? even then, you really cant deny that 2014 was an awful year for pc ports
i am still just absolutely confused at how a god damned call of duty game had one of the best ports of the year
Max Payne 2: The Fall of May Payne
May Payne, who was the sister of Max Payne, was one day in a office typing on computer.
i mean please just tell me what you were thinking when you downloaded my avatar
DUDE YOU'RE A PSYCHO STOP STALKING YOU PERV
dont pre order
How come? I mean, if you're going to buy it later, why not do it now? I miss the days where that was the only reason. :c
preordering in the digital age has always been dumb
Why though? In both situations - those being physical and digital - you own the game prior to it being released, and in both situations you actually acquire it yourself the day it's out. Whether that means waiting for however long to download it, or traveling however far to pick it up, it's still the same end result. Unless there was an option to pre-load it, then that would remove the "waiting for it do DL after release".
I preordered GTA V because I like to live life on the edge.
How great would it be if Red Dead Redemption was the free game, one can only dream.
because sometimes the game is awful watchdogs also; in modern times, we no longer really need to worry about stores running out of a game (unless its in huge demand) and even then download services have them 24/7 if your internet is shit you can just pick it up at the store and install via discs, it just doesn't seem worth it at all to pay for a product that you don't really even know is good yet
That's true, I guess it really comes down to how one views games as a whole. If it interests me a little, I'll keep it on a mental watchlist, if it interests me a fair bit, then I'll pre-order it to get it "out of the way" sort of speak. Plus I've never been burned by a pre-order purchase, so my stance on the whole thing might be a bit biased. :p [del]Also, you saying "in the digital age" sorta implies that pre-ordering games back in like, 2005 would have been just fine. Unless I misread that...[/del] Damn refresh
... it just doesn't seem worth it at all to pay for a product that you don't really even know is good yet
Again, it must just be the fact I've never been burned by a game. :v:
