Hoping it releases in the US soon after the Japanese release. If it's just a remaster, it's not like they have much work left to do. Final Fantasy X is my personal favorite in the series, and having it on a handheld is pretty damn enticing.
Also not mentioned here is that at the same Vita conference, a price drop was announced for Japan, so expect to see a price drop on the February 20th conference and a new Vita bundle with a 32gb memory card.

I wonder if they changed around the re-rendered backgrounds too. I say that simply because if you play FFX in PCSX2 with HD resolutions they look like paper :v:
Looks good I guess. I've always been sort of fond of certain aspects about the art and world design in the FFX universe, I think it'll look great on Vita's screen.
The portability is nice (and it's pretty incredible that we now have a single handheld that can legally play Final Fantasy I-X, all loaded into a single memory card), but a lot of people seem to have forgotten that this is also coming to PS3. I personally think I'll opt for that version, because even "HD edition" games seem to have those trademark blurry graphics (lower render res) and waning performance on Vita (MGS2+3).

ffx was probably the last main title final fantasy i liked, with x-2 being a guilty pleasure
