It was browser based and you created a fighter, you didn't control the battles, but you gained random weapons, and could give out your code for others to fight against.
Was pretty fun, can't remember the name.

No no, it was a browser based game, like a 2d beat em up look, but you had a small character you could make (or it randomly generated, can't remember), then you could pit it against other ones, either by code or a selection, and they would auto battle.
You would get like random pickups of baseball bats to use in that battle, and a shield, stuff like that.
It was quite big on FP for a while, people battling each others creations.
