It doesn't feel like anyone's really doing anything
You can't really do much to celebrate while sitting on a computer.
Dunno about you, but the holiday spirit seems to be getting weaker and weaker every year, it's really about sales and discounts, now.
It doesn't feel like anyone's really doing anything
ye, I feel exactly the same, but it's probably because of how much snow we got over the week in Ireland, and the weather in general). My two oldest bros aren't comin over 2night(mum is annoyed) cuz they're off with my prick of a dad, and it's doubtful I'll see my dad's family(who are 100 times nicer) 2moro either. sucks to be a teenager eh?

Christmas is all about consuming now, buy buy buy buy buy, rare occasion people don't give each others presents/gifts and all they want is to be with their friends and family. Christmas has turned in to something as a excuse to CONSUME(buy) products
I hate it when people have a valid poll, but stick a stupid option on the end and making everybody vote for that one.
I miss the Christmas "magic" I felt as a child. You guys know what Im talking about right? All of december seeing wondrous decorations everywhere, Christmas cookies from all the relatives. Strangers wishing a "Merry Christmas" to eachother. Christmas music being played in every store. Everybody was generally just cheerful. The closer it got to Christmas morning the more exciting going to bed was. Asking your parents for things was always fun, and being Christmas you knew you were going to get at least a few things you asked for. Christmas eve was the longest day of the year. Because you just waited for it to be over. Come Christmas morning and you sprang out of your bed, probably waking everybody else up, and ran to where the presents are. Ripping them open. You didnt care if you received a toy that was built like crap. All you knew was that you wanted it, and now you got it. You enjoyed your presents all day. The season was just magical when you were a kid. Candycanes and hot coco. Now that youre older, some of you are buying gifts for other people. Your gifts are becoming more practical. Now usually games instead of plastic toys. As with everything, Christmas lost a little bit of its magic when we stopped being children. Now that doesnt mean we cant have a wonderful holiday season. But the stores rip away anything wonderful and replace it with something to buy. We will have to try really hard to have a nice Christmas season while ignoring all of the commercialization. I propose that someday int he future, we dont buy gifts. No one does. We all just spend the whole day with family and friends. Of course this will never happen thanks to today's society. But we can dream. I wish you all a merry and happy Christmas, may you have wonderful dreams tonight and enjoy your Christmas morning. Spend it with your family and friends.
