I very often receive errors like "hl2.exe has stopped working" or "crysis.exe has stopped working" while doing things that require CPU to work (changing settings, loading). How can I disable them? I'm sure that games aren't crashing but just require to wait for a while.
My guess? Game hasn't been optimized for Windows 7 yet.
If you're using a pirated version, you're probably using an old build.

You are wrong in all of your 3 points.
There is no such thing as Win 7 optimisation. They all work as well as they would on Win XP.
Pirated version doesn't mean bugs and doesn't mean old build.
And you aren't hinting at Warez. You are actively saying WAREZ.
run as admin. it should work better
or in Vista compat.

Oh wow, that gotta be the stupidest thing I've read in a while.
I mean, no offense, but seriously, saying that Win 7, an unreleased OS, when playing games, works like it would on XP is just hilarious. You actually think that 7 is built on the XP kernel?
When playing a pirated game, you're stuck with an old build meaning the bugs you encounter won't be removed.

Oh, wow, Irony. Being unreleased doesn't automatically make it buggy and unoptimised. It works just like XP in terms of bugs and optimisation. The only difference is that it's more straining on the PC.
When playing a pirated game, I can't have a new Windows? Golly, I just learnt that.

Whay are you talking about? You said that running a game on 7 should (and does) run like it would on XP. That's complete bs since many games don't support 7 yet. 7 was built using the Vista kernel, many games should run 7 without problems, but there are still some that are buggy and require a small patch to fix it. The problem is caused by 7's new architecture.
And I have no idea why you draw random statements out of your ass, because I have never said you can't play pirated games using 7, but when playing a pirated game on 7 you're prone to get problems.
Windows is RC version, and, for instance, hl2.exe is an application for Team Fortress 2. Steam one.

First, no. Almost 99.9 % of games work like a charm. As you can see, he said Crysis and HL2, so... Yeah. Win7's architecture is Vista's and it works. And stop editing your posts to make me look dull.
Just... Read what you wrote.

Stopper does have a point, and I was running Freelancer on Win7 so your bullshit HeyMate was a troll,
-snip-
Nice chat you have here, but I would appreciate if you will help me.
run the games under vista compatibility

2GB RAM, Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200, HD 4850.
And crashing is pretty random, for instance when I joined a game in TF2, map loaded and HTML MOTD was loading, it crashed.

No they are crashing, it wouldn't do that if they just stopped responding for a while. Have you tried reinstalling the games?

Hm. Are you using windows 7 beta?
No they are crashing, it wouldn't do that if they just stopped responding for a while. Have you tried reinstalling the games?
Yes. But TF2 shouldn't crash so often. Not on this PC.
Hm. Are you using windows 7 beta?
Yes, since it was free.
It's not a windows 7 problem, I run source games and crysis fine on my computer. (running win7)
I took Crysis and Source games as an example.

Actually, I believe you can still patch pirated games. Not all though, some of them use some poorly made crack or have edited game files that break the patch.
I hope I won't get banned for saying this. :ohdear:
I still need help as problem is not solved yet.
