Nah. I get that a lot, even when it's not jailbroke. Usually the problem is my USB ports.
I haven't even unplugged this wire in god knows how long, I tried putting it in another port and got the same thing
Restore it on another computer.
Check the phone end of the cable, look for debris (give it a good blow) in the connector and/or clean with isopropyl alcohol (ipa).
I had this happen on two of my iphone cables, one was constantly ending up in my son's mouth and the other was just old, I used a can of spray on ipa and it stopped happening on both.
If that doesn't work, then restore it.
I had this happen after I spilt squash over my phone... luckily it dried out and still works... but took 3 days before the USB port recognised the charger again without saying that..
A friend of mine had this, I believe she was given a new cable at the Apple store. I'm not entirely sure, though.

You can see a whopping ONE nail and it isn't even dirty.
When i leave my cable in the pc for a while it says that, I just switch cables till the other one cools off.
I get that a lot with my charger, I end up plugging and unplug it and it works.
It says that on each USB port I've tried, and on multiple computers, but my wall charger and car charger work

Just try it with another computer/cable. Should fix your problem.
