I loved the idea of Planetary Annihilation since they first announced it. Although, I kinda gotta admit the game wasn't at all as good as it could have been. The fact they are kickstarting a new RTS on an "upgraded Planetary Annihilation engine" is just kinda heart breaking for me.
Idk, they really attracted way too much negativity towards their game, probably to the point they themselves aren't much fans of it. I play the game now and then, the lack of offline is still shitty, but it does seem like a missed opportunity.

Different team. At least that's what they say.

It still doesn't look great with their just released game having a 25% down rate on Steam.

How much of that is carried across from it's £60+ price-rate though?
lol kickstarting a new game when Planetary Annihilation is in an unfinished state
don't have a lot of faith in this
also you would think that having already successfully kickstarted 2 released games they would have some capital left over to fund this one
It wouldn't surprise me that they'll abandon PA in it's current state then move onto this.

I meant it's review rating.
I wasn't aware that Planteary Annihilation had so much negativity going on, what's the deal about that? I planned to get it sometime soon.
That came totally unexpected, the game looked rather decent to be honest. I guess the devs were at the end with their funds.
The game is a lot of fun but it is nowhere near finished imho.

i don't know what's more absurd, that this exists or that people are actually giving it money
it could definitely use a lot more shit put into it, but i spent $15 on it and im happy with my purchase, can already see myself wasting a ton of time in it (only reason i havent is because GIB OFFLINE HOSTING PLS)
They were so caught up with the fancy technlogy they didn't stop to think if the game they were making was actually any fun

Holy fuck I love how one of the rewards is credits for SMNC.
Oh jesus christ one guy from Uber is pretty much going through the reddit thread and basically posting the same thing over and over again. Also they're lying about it being a new team, the photo for the new team has a bunch of the same people who worked on PA.
I knew they'd do this, they always fucking do, they did it to MNC, and SMNC immediately after lying about 'huge plans for future content'.
PA is fun, but not finished. SMNC was fun, but dropped. MNC was fun, but dropped.
I bought into all of these games, but not this one Uber. You have figuratively spit in my face making a new game without keeping your promises three times.
I hope this kick starter fails so maybe, just maybe, you can focus on the several IPs that are lacking tlc from your library.

You know I am so glad I decided not to back this game right now.
But still damn, I was so hopeful for this game. My dad actually just bought it yesterday lol.
EDIT:

Ouch.
How's the mod support? If it's decent maybe it'll turn into something good down the road?
That's disturbingly soon from release day for it to go daily deal 50% off.
That's disturbingly soon from release day for it to go daily deal 50% off.
Because they know it's overpriced as hell and unfinished.
They just want to grab all the money they can on spontaneous decisions whilst the game is still able to sell.
Why do people keep giving money to Uber?
Probably because few people know what they're doing.
I was excited for Planetary Annihilation until today

If only they knew where the money was going

Uber is a really depressing company, they have fairly cool ideas for games but it feels like they fall in the development over time.

jesus someone needs to pitch them an idea of a $20,000 track car to race and take girls on dates in. Screw a Ferrari unless you're showing up on the red carpet or really trying to get the "i'm the ceo here" point across. Maybe he wants to complete a child hood dream, it's not for me to judge. Although more money towards development is always a plus.
Uber loves to trash new games when they come out and move on to the next to steal everyone cash and waste everyone's time, look at SMNC that died in a year or so due to no updates and OP characters. Hell this game is gonna die in the same fate as SMNC except features are cut out.
This is one of my favorite shady things they've done
