Yeah, the previous 2 expansions really killed my enthusiasm for WoW but this one took me by surprise. It remains to be seen how much they plan on updating it through the next 2 years.
The launch sounds like its going nicely, but of course whether this expansion is good or bad will depend upon how well its supported after launch.
We REALLY don't need a repeat of Warlords.
I feel like an expansion should be reviewed by it's end, or after the last major content patch drops.
Warlords of Draenor was well received when it launched too, and while I find everything in legion's launch content to stomp over WoD's, we just can't forget that a great expansion launch doesn't mean it's going to be an all around good expansion.
Too disgusted by the last two expansions to really care IMO.
As well as what this expansion did and Blizzards' behavior towards WoW.
Legion seems to, at least compared to Warlords of Draenor, has a lot more love and focus put into it. A lot more dialogue was put inside, more in-depth quests, interesting zones, quest-design and overall flair is seen in Legion's zones, compared to WoD's drab, brown colors nearly all the time.
Where in Warlords you would have Fel, Iron-Horde wastelands and Shadowmoon Valley, you have large coastlines, beautiful Elven cities, strong Vrykul fortresses, the Halls of Valor themselves and a lot more in Legion. The zones look beautiful, the music is better than ever, I feel, and even more so the gameplay is quite fun -- at least as a Demon Hunter.
I hated the changes to some of the classes.
Are the royal guards in SMC still level 70/80?
