My old Dell Latitude C610 refuses to charge. I don't get any errors on the laptop, it just refuses to charge. The charger light doesn't come on. Might be hard to tell, but would this be a battery or charger problem?

Thank God for rush shipping. New charger and everything works fine
Does it behave differently if you have the charger in while you have removed the battery?

With the charger in and the battery out, it doesn't turn on at all.
Sounds like a dead charger.
I don't know how Dell manages to make such low quality chargers, mine goes out every few months.
I started using Chinese copies of the official chargers after my warranty went out (along with 4 chargers) and they actually last longer than the real thing :downs:
Its either the charger or you have a dry joint on the mobo which will need resoldering
Okay, I bought a new charger. Should be here this weekend. Bad thing - Someone just bought the laptop (charger died right after someone had already made a bid :downs: ). So hopefully it's here Saturdays as promised.
